Abstract

ABSTRACT
Coronary artery thrombus is a vital component of atherosclerotic plaque which is
encountered in patients with acute coronary syndromes. It also plays a crucial
role in outcome after percutaneous coronary stenting while remaining a strong
predictor of intra as well as post- procedural complications. Similarly coronary
artery dissection is another procedural threat to interventionist which may have a
catastrophic outcome if not addressed in time. Here we present a case of 55
years' old gentleman who presented with acute myocardial infarction and had
percutaneous coronary intervention with residual thrombotic burden.
