Diagnosis of myocardial Infarction (MI);
1. Usually there is typical constricting, dull rest pain over the precordium of 20 mm or longer duration. It may be choking, vice like or boring in quality.
2. The pain may radiate to arms, throat and be ac c om p an ie d by breath lessn ess, sw ea tin g, naua, vomiting and collapse.
Pericarditis is a contra indication to anticoagulants. Give low dose Heparin (3,000 to 5,000 units S/C 8 hourly continue till amlulation). When pain free do leg exeercises and deep breathing exercises.
