25 Years Of Pakistan Heart JournalAbstract
The year 1993 completes the 25 years since Pakistan Heart Journal was launched. The expectations of the founder members of the Society must have been very high as the Journal and its executives are mentioned in the constitution itself. Looking back over the 25 years, can one critically analyze the successes and failures of the Journal? It is difficult, but, should be done in order for the Society to chart an appropriate future for this very necessary venture. Where should we go from here? I think it is absolutely clear that the Society needs to keep this Journal alive and well. This is the only major scientific activity of the Society besides the yearly scientific sessions. The problems of the Society reflect the problems of the medical profession of the country. The buck stops there!
