SummaryAn unusual case of intestinal obstruction is described. Intra aortic balloon ruptured
in a patient resulting in gas leak. The gas embolised mesentenc arteries resulting in
severe abdominal pain and absence of bowel sounds. Removal of the balloon reversed the clinical condition completely.
