XII APCC In LahoreAbstract
The Asian Pacific Congress of Cardiology is the most prestigious cardiology meeting of this region which in fact is no less an affair than the World Congress of Cardiology. For Pakistan to host this event in Lahore October 17-20, 1999, is indeed a great honour and a great opportunity.Elaborate preparations are in full swing with state of the art lectures, workshops and seminars planned. As is the tradition, entertaining local hospitality and cultural programmes will allow the delegates to sample the flavour of Pakistani traditions and culture and the warmth of the local population.Occasions like the APCC do not happen without years of planning and hardwork. The Convenor and his team deserve all laurels and good wishes and hopes that their meeting in Lahore will be remembered as a landmark meeting in the development of Pakistan’s cardiovascular medical community.
